[13 May 2013] Nico Boh, Patrik Bäckström and James Omoya, students at the Software Engineering and Management bachelor's programme at University of Gothenburg, were appointed winners of NASA's Space Apps Challenge in Gothenburg last week. Their concept of "Greener Cities" will now be judged by an international jury.

[8 Mar 2013] Can robots improve teaching in schools? This is something that Dr. Wolmet Barendregt, senior lecturer at the Department of Applied IT at the University of Gothenburg, will investigate together with researchers from four countries in the research project EMOTE, which is financed by European Union. Over the next three years, the researchers will work to develop, apply and evaluate whether robots with the ability to interpret and act on emotions can contribute to the learning of school children.
