The quickest way is to take the ferry "Älvsnabbare" (free of charge) which runs from Rosenlund (close to Järntorget) straight to Lindholmen. There is also another ferry, "Älvsnabben" (ticket needed) which runs as follows: Klippan - Eriksberg - Slottsberget - Lindholmen - Rosenlund – Lilla Bommen (and reverse). Västtrafik
The easiest way to get from Göteborg city to Lindholmen is to take the bus No. 16. The No. 16 trip takes about 7 minutes. Bus 16 is also the fastest choice for going between Chalmers Johanneberg and Lindholmen. You get off at bus stop "Lindholmen". Other buses that stop at Lindhomen: No. 30, 31 and 99. Västtrafik
1. From the bridge "Götaälvbron", Tingstadstunneln, E6, E20 and higway 45 you drive towards "Norra Älvstranden". Take left under the railway towards Lindholmen. Continue along Karlavagnsgatan to Lindholmen.
2. From the bridge "Älvsborgsbron" you drive towards "Norrra Älvstranden" through Lundbytunneln. Follow the signs for Norra Älvstranden and later Lindholmen.
There is a car park just outside the buildings and also a parking garage close to Forskningsgången.
Follow the signs "Sahlgrenska sjukhuset".
Parking: The nearest car park for visitors is at Rännvägen/Elektrovägen or at Gibraltarvallen, entrance Gibraltargatan - Engdahlsgatan (see map).
Tram n:o 6, 7, 8, and 10 stops at Chalmers main entrance, together with bus n:o 16 and 753. Bus n:o 42 and 48 stops at "Chalmers tvärgata" in Gibraltargatan.
